Will an aftermarket exhaust system void my vehicle warranty?

A cat-back or axle-back system typically won't void your warranty because they don't affect emissions equipment. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, dealers must prove the aftermarket part caused a failure. However, modifying emissions components (removing cats) can void related warranty coverage. When in doubt, ask your dealer.

Is stainless steel or aluminized exhaust better?

Stainless steel costs more but lasts longer - often 10+ years or the life of the vehicle. It resists corrosion and looks better over time. Aluminized steel is more affordable and adequate for 5-8 years in moderate climates. Choose stainless if you keep vehicles long-term or live in areas with road salt and harsh weather.
