At HH Muffler, we want you to be confident that the parts you purchase are right for your vehicle. If something isn’t correct, we’ll do our best to help.

This Refund & Return Policy applies only to purchases made directly on hhmuffler.com. If you purchased HH Muffler products from another retailer or marketplace, please refer to that seller’s return and refund policy.


1. Return Window

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

  • Day 1 starts on the date the tracking shows your order as “Delivered.”

  • Returns requested after 30 days are generally not eligible for a refund, except in limited cases such as approved warranty claims.


2. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, all of the following must be true:

  • The item is in the same condition that you received it.

  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and unmodified.

  • The item is not damaged (no scratches, dents, welding marks, or signs of installation).

  • The item includes all original packaging, hardware, accessories, labels, and documentation.

  • You have the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items that have been installed, test-fitted with clamps or welding, cut, painted, or otherwise modified are not eligible for return unless they are being returned under an approved warranty claim.

  • The part number(s) you wish to return

  • Reason for the return

  • Photos (if damaged/defective/incorrect item)

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return and receiving authorization will not be accepted.


4. Return Shipping & Labels

  • For most returns (e.g., wrong part ordered, no longer needed), the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.

  • In many cases, HH Muffler will provide a prepaid return shipping label for your convenience. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund unless the return is due to our error or a verified product defect.

  • If the return is due to:

    • A shipping error on our part (wrong item sent, missing item, etc.), or

    • A defective or damaged product (see Section 5),
      we will cover the return shipping cost.


5. Damages, Defects, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if:

  • The item is damaged in transit

  • The item appears defective

  • You received the wrong item or the wrong quantity

Contact us at sales@hhmuffler.com within 30 days of delivery and include:

  • Order number

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photos and/or videos showing the problem, packaging, and shipping label

If your claim is approved:

  • We will provide a prepaid return label, if the item needs to be returned.

  • Once inspected and confirmed as damaged/defective/incorrect, we will issue a refund, replacement, or store credit, as agreed.

  • In some cases, you may not need to return the item, and we’ll advise you of next steps.

We are not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, misuse, racing use, or modification of the product.


6. Restocking Fees

  • Standard returns within 30 days that meet all eligibility criteria generally do not incur a restocking fee.

  • If a returned product shows signs of use, missing parts, or damaged packaging, HH Muffler reserves the right to charge up to a 20% restocking fee or refuse the return.

  • Returns received without prior authorization may be refused or subject to additional fees.


7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable, except where required by law or approved under warranty:

  • Installed, used, cut, welded, or modified exhaust parts

  • Custom or special-order products

  • Electrical components once opened (e.g., O2 sensors, harnesses)

  • Products marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at checkout

  • Gift cards or store credit

  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery (unless a warranty claim is approved)

8. Core Charges (If Applicable)

Some products may include a core charge, which is a refundable deposit for the recyclable component of a part.

  • If your part includes a core charge, you can return the old core in reusable condition to receive a core refund.

  • Contact us at sales@hhmuffler.com for specific core return instructions.

  • Cores must typically be returned within 30 days of receiving your replacement part, with a copy of your original receipt, and shipped in the replacement part’s box whenever possible.


9. Exchanges

We do not process “straight” exchanges through the return portal.

To get the correct part quickly:

  1. Place a new order for the part you need.

  2. Request a return for the original item following the process above.

  3. Once your return is received and approved, we will refund the original purchase (less any applicable shipping or restocking fees).


10. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (If Applicable)

If we ship merchandise into the European Union, customers in the EU have the right to cancel or return their order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

  • Items must be in the same condition as received: unused, uninstalled, with original packaging and proof of purchase.

  • Additional country-specific consumer rights may apply according to local laws.


11. Refund Processing

Once your return is received at our facility, please allow up to 5 business days for inspection.

After inspection:

  • We will notify you by email whether your return has been approved or rejected.

  • If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Shipping charges (original and return) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or an approved warranty claim.

Please remember that it can take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy, we're here to help.

30-Day Return Policy

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused products in original packaging.

Eligible for Return:

  • Unused products in original, unopened packaging
  • All original accessories and documentation included
  • No signs of installation or use
  • Purchased within the last 30 days

Not Eligible for Return:

  • Used or installed products
  • Products with missing parts or packaging
  • Custom-made or special-order items
  • Clearance or final sale items
  • Products purchased more than 30 days ago
  • Electrical components that have been installed

Return Process

Step 1: Request RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)

  • Item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if damaged or defective)

Step 2: Receive RMA Number

We'll email you an RMA number within 24 business hours. Do not ship items without an RMA number - returns without RMA will be refused.

Step 3: Package Items Securely

  • Use original packaging if available
  • Include all original parts and documentation
  • Write RMA number clearly on outside of box
  • Pack securely to prevent damage in transit

Step 4: Ship Return

Ship to the address provided in your RMA email. We recommend:

  • Using a carrier that provides tracking
  • Purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items
  • Keeping your tracking number until refund is processed

Return Shipping Costs

Standard Returns (Change of Mind):

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • We recommend insured shipping with tracking
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

Defective or Damaged Items:

  • We cover return shipping costs
  • We'll provide a prepaid shipping label
  • Original shipping charges will be refunded

Wrong Item Shipped:

  • We cover all return shipping costs
  • We'll send correct item at no charge
  • Expedited shipping available upon request

Restocking Fees

A 15% restocking fee applies to:

  • Returns due to change of mind
  • Wrong item ordered (customer error)
  • Items returned after 30 days (if approved)

No restocking fee for:

  • Defective products
  • Damaged items
  • Wrong item shipped (our error)
  • Warranty claims

Refunds

Processing Time:

  • Refunds processed within 3-5 business days of receiving return
  • Refunded to original payment method
  • Credit card refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear

Refund Amount:

Your refund will include:

  • Product price
  • Minus 15% restocking fee (if applicable)
  • Minus return shipping costs (if customer responsibility)
  • Original shipping charges (only if item was defective/damaged)

Exchanges

Need a different size, color, or model?

Exchange Process:

  1. Contact us to verify new item is in stock
  2. Return original item following return process above
  3. We'll ship replacement once return is received

Exchange Shipping:

  • Customer pays return shipping for original item
  • We cover shipping for replacement (if equal or lesser value)
  • Price difference charged/refunded as needed

Faster Option: Order the new item and return the original separately. This avoids waiting for the return to process.

Defective Products

Received a defective product? We'll make it right!

Report Defects Immediately:

  1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery
  2. Provide order number and description of defect
  3. Send photos/video of the issue
  4. We'll determine if return or warranty claim is appropriate

Our Options for Defective Items:

  • Full refund including all shipping costs
  • Free replacement with expedited shipping
  • Partial refund if you wish to keep the item

Damaged in Shipping

If your item arrives damaged:

  1. Document damage immediately - Take photos of box and contents
  2. Note damage on delivery receipt if possible
  3. Contact us within 48 hours - Email photos to support@hhmuffler.com
  4. Keep all packaging - Carrier may need to inspect

We'll send a replacement immediately or issue a full refund - your choice!

Wrong Item Received

If we shipped the wrong item:

  • Contact us immediately
  • We'll send correct item with expedited shipping
  • Provide prepaid label for returning wrong item
  • No charges or fees to you

Order Cancellations

Before Shipment:

Contact us ASAP to cancel. If order hasn't shipped, we'll process a full refund with no fees.

After Shipment:

You can refuse delivery or follow standard return process. Return shipping and restocking fees may apply.

Special Circumstances

Wrong Item Ordered (Customer Error):

We understand mistakes happen! You can return within 30 days, but:

  • 15% restocking fee applies
  • Customer pays return shipping
  • Must be unused in original packaging
